1,4-Divinylbenzene, known as P-divinylbenzene (DVB) is a crosslinking agent that can be used in various polymerization processes, such as copolymerization of styrene, to improve the thermal and mechanical properties of composites.

DVB can be crosslinked with styrene chloride and combined with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) to form a new microporous nanomaterial for water remediation. It can also be bonded with polyethylene glycol diacrylate to polyethylene oxide (PEO) and used as an electrode material in lithium batteries.
