Uni-Extra series polymeric chain extenders are multi-functional reactive polymers containing epoxy functional groups. Widely used as a modifier to improve the material properties and processing properties of polycondensational polymers. Polymeric chain extender improves the molecular weight and melt strength of the polymer by adjusting and controlling the chemical reaction between the epoxy group and polyester, -COOH , -OH and -NH2, so as to improve the material properties and processing properties of the polymer and improve the fluidity of the material.
- Increase the molecular weight of biodegradable polymer and increase the viscosity of melt;
- Improve the stability of polycondensation polymer against to hydrolysis;
- Improve the processing stability of regranulated and recycled materials;
- Improve melt strength and optimize the production efficiency of film blow molding;
- Improve compatibility between different polycondensation materials;
- Shorten SSP time during polycondensation;
- Improve the spinning performance of the polymer;

Uni-Extra series polymeric chain extender are used to improve the molecular weight of biodegradable materials such as PLA, PBS, PPC, PHA, PHB, PCL, PBAT, PGA, and general materials such as PET, PBT, PC, PA, TPU and other polymers, so as to improve their melt strength, improve the processability of the material, and improve the overall performance of the material.
Application fields: sheet extrusion, film blowing, bottle blowing, spinning, blister, foaming and other molding processing.
- Inhibit hydrolysis reactions during plastic processing and use
In the process of processing and use, some polymer materials will have obvious hydrolysis reaction, which leads to the reduction of molecular weight and performance. Such as polylactic acid, when the moisture content changes, the molecular weight and product performance will change during extrusion or injection molding: hydrolysis leads to PLA degradation and weakening of performance. The water absorption of PLA can be reduced by adding chain extender to increase its molecular weight and decrease the number of -COOH and -OH water absorption groups. Chain extenders help to reduce the degradation of properties due to hydrolysis reactions.

Biodegradable recycled materials: PLA, PBS, PPC, PHA, PHB, PCL, PBAT, PGA;
General recycling materials: PET, PBT, PC, PA, TPU;
Uni-Extra series polymeric chain extender recouples degraded molecular chains during the processing of recycled polymer materials to improve the weight average molecular weight, thereby improving or restoring the performance of the material, so that the comprehensive performance of recycled plastics is close to or exceeds the performance of the raw material.

Improve the compatibility and dispersibility of polycondensation alloy materials, and improve the coloration, sealing degree and heat resistance of alloy materials.
