Dilithium tetraborate, alias: lithium pyroborate, anhydrous lithium tetraborate, lithium tetraborate; Chemical formula: Li2B4O7, molecular weight: 169.12; The appearance is white crystalline solid, soluble in water, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline, the solubility of anhydrous matter in water (g/100mL) : 20℃ : 2.89, 100℃ : 5.45. [1] Various forms of hydrates such as pentahydrate, trihydrate, and monohydrate can be obtained by crystallization in aqueous solution, and all crystal water is lost at 300-350 ℃. Soluble in hydrochloric acid, insoluble in ethanol and other organic solvents. It has excellent thermal stability.
